Cafe Hillel on Emek Refa'im

This is just around the corner from our rented apartment. Several of us have sat there, had coffee, dessert and blogged using the free wireless Internet set up by the city of Jerusalem.

Many of you might remember the suicide bombing that occurred there on the night of Sept 3, 2003 which killed 7 people and wounded 50. There are guards posted at most restaurants on this street (as well as all over Jerusalem) checking bags and using metal detectoring wands. That night, the guard tried to prevented the Hamas murderer from entering the crowded cafe, but he managed to get several feet inside.
